You can use F10, but it only does 2 windows of the same thing. Bummer.

I don't see that option. I'm using CS3 now so maybe that only works in the other version.

Right click on tab and select "open in new window".

does that work?

Yup - teammatt3 is right. I have DW 8 and the tabs only show id the pages are maximized. It is a pain to look at the different pages when they are tabbed and you cannot see them with different windows opened. Maybe they will get to that in the next version - that would be nice!

Macromedia Dreamweaver 8. Tabs only show up if you maximize the code/design window. If you have a bunch of files open and you don't have them maximized, you won't see tabs.

Hmm, my version doesn't have tabs, and I don't think I would like it either. What version are you using, Matt, so I can make sure I don't upgrade to it?

I want two programs open so I can have two documents side by side. I can do that if I stretch the whole dreamweaver window across two screens, but then it's awkward. With two programs open, I can have one program working on one set of files, say 5 tabs open, and the other program working on another set of files (5 tabs again). Then I don't have to click through 10 tabs to find the file I want to work on.

You're right... it's not possible. Unless they've added this feature to CS3, but I'm not sure because I haven't used it yet.

But honestly, the tabs are great, why would you want 2 viewing windows? Because whatever it is you're doing, there may be another way to do it.
