Also you have resised the pictures using html, try not to do this as itreduces the image quality. Use a graphics program to resize or crop it if you want it to fit.

Hi,

Overall I like your website. The design is good and professional looking. Your content does require a little attention though.

There is a spelling error in the part that says "Other incentives are available for every new care purchase". I presume this is meant to be new car purchase.

Other than that I really like it. You have listed some very good advantages to buying this new car and even just reading it, if I were looking for a new car I would definitely click for more information.

I don't know very much about HTML or CSS etc so my comments are very much based on what I see when I log onto your website.

Hope this helps.

Thks Megan for pointing out those flaws. We really do have to work around the CSS quite a lot and then test the site on different internet platforms.

Bringing the text up a bit to the reader's eye level is something that would sure have to be done.Thks a lot.As i said this is my first take on using CSS this extensively, but i thank you all for taking the time out to critique this for me.

I agree that this design needs some work! The gray is oppressive, the only good thing is it makes the images stand-out on the page. Also, what the heck is this:

We Accept
There's never a need for that sort of thing. If I can design sites without this sort of cruft you should be able to as well.

The design doesn't line-up using Opera 9.10, the main body text and image should be the same width as the main horizontal menu. The image of two cars in the header is stretched and looks bad. The first car on the 'item_des.html' page has the same problem.

I do like the small images running along the bottom of the item_des page, good to see details of the product. The layout with descriptions and images on that page are also pleasing to the eye.

Unfortunately using Firefox 2 the whole layout is broken. A lot of people use this browser, I also checked using Konqueror (Apples Safari browser and Konqueror are based upon the same rendering engine) and the layout is broken using that too.

Overall, there are some nice touches to the site, but you need to work on the colour-scheme, the header and cross-browser compatibility. If this were a competition, then you'd have been owned by the other team.

Just one more thing: it doesn't validate. That's a good starting point for making certain things work cross-browser.

Hope this helps, I was a little harsh in places, so sorry for that.

First off, the design could use a lot of work. The grey colour scheme is very heavy feeling and there are a lot of details that haven't been attended to (such as the gap between the top header and the navbar for example).

I like the opening paragraph. It does a good job of explaining what the site has to offer, but it is quite far down on the page and would be missed by a lot of users. Before I read that I was struggling to figure out what this site was about.

I think it would be better to have a lot of smaller product photos on the front page rather than one big photo. That would get people involved in the site right away, browing inventory, rather than trying to figure out where to go next. Read "Great Homepages Really Suck".

On the product page, the photos are nice and big so that's good. The alignment of the text needs work, which might be what you were referring to about the CSS being off. Also make sure that there are some margins around the edge of the page so the text isn't bumping into it. Also make sure there is spacing around the imgaes.

I think on this page the "Buy now" and the price could be a little more prominent too. There is a strategy with that -d o you want to reel them in with the great features and looks and everything and then tell them the price or is the price a big selling point? If the price is a big advantage in the pitch then it should be featured more prominently. It would be good to have some testimonial type bits on this page, like awards or safety ratings or other things that would entice peopel to buy.

I imagine what you're really working on here is the eCommerce process so I'll pretend to buy something ... oh, wait, that doesn't work!

So not a bad job for a start.
