register on http://www.plusregister.com only needs $8.95 per year.there are all kinds of reliable domain names in it.To be honest,I think that website is better.

Hmm, that's pretty much the impression I got before hiring them. Not really sure how they're trying to present a different face than one they are, but that's just from my personal experience.

I found various articles for them in blogs. I can't say i'm impressed with them and i think they try to present a different face from what they are. (17 domainers help them and each one try to be lucky to get $25?)

I should add that we had been "done" for quite some time, I just forgot to post again. We actually finished the whole deal up on February 20. And I believe that for a typical client of mine, the suggestions they gave would have probably been enough to pick a domain.

I almost forgot about this thread! Here's an update...

I finally have a domain name for this project. The pickydomains.com people emailed me more or less daily for a couple weeks. However, I ended up being extremely picky. While they were still sending me suggestions, I found one on my own that I like.

The good news is that this service would probably work great for clients of mine. As such, I got them to agree to let me use their service for a client instead of refunding the $50.

I will tentatively recommend them for now, but will be (hopefully) posting an update when I use the service for a client.

For some reason, I thought it would just be them emailing me for the month or so, and me just responding if I liked one.

It's slightly more organic than that. They ask for feedback and such so they know if the direction they're going is correct.

They've actually given some great suggestions so far, but ones that don't really fit the direction I'm trying to go with the site. So their organic approach makes sense, and seems to have been necessary in my case.

I believe Matt is correct. I read an article on them on another site (no clue where), and I think that's they indicated that the company buys one when they suggest it. But the official site doesn't say one way or another.

The email I got automatically after paying said that they would respond within 24 hours, or that I could take the initiative and email them with any specific requirements I had. Even though I did email them immediately, they responded with a couple more questions in less than 12 hours.

So far, I'm impressed with their speedy response time.
