&lt;p&gt;That would be the easiest answer ... a little more info may help too ... such as:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;what browser are you using?&lt;br /&gt;
what server is it running on (Linux, windows, etc)?&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;Sounds like a simple path issue to me.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Make sure that the link is pointing to the correct location on the server.&lt;br /&gt;
Exapmle:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If the document is loacted in another folder perhaps:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;a href=&quot;foldername/document.pdf&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If the file is in the same folder as the page then just this will work:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;a href=&quot;document.pdf&quot;&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Normally the file will open right in the brower as long as the end user has  Acrobat Reader set to open the file in the browser. If they don&#039;t then they should get a download prompt.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also....what about the pdf file? Is it compatible with any and all versions of Acrobat Reader?&lt;/p&gt;
