you really need to view the source file, and check the path.

That would be the easiest answer ... a little more info may help too ... such as:

what browser are you using?
what server is it running on (Linux, windows, etc)?

Sounds like a simple path issue to me.

Make sure that the link is pointing to the correct location on the server.
Exapmle:

If the document is loacted in another folder perhaps:

If the file is in the same folder as the page then just this will work:

Normally the file will open right in the brower as long as the end user has Acrobat Reader set to open the file in the browser. If they don't then they should get a download prompt.

Also....what about the pdf file? Is it compatible with any and all versions of Acrobat Reader?
