That's excellent! That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks, Conrad.

Nope. After I tested it out on a few more sites, it really isn't that great. Scratch the DW idea.

I actually don't use MSN anymore. Where did you find my screen name, so I can take it down? You can feel free to add my AIM screenname.

That's fine if you don't use a Mac, but as I use them, that's the type of software I'm looking for.

BTW, your link goes directly to a page where the file starts to download. Bad idea! That, and the software it downloads is an EXE which is not a file format Macs use. A quick Google search revealed no Mac version on that company's website.

Plus, I specifically requested open-source or free. Not a demo.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

That looks good, and for a decent price, but where did you see the Mac version? All I saw were affiliate links to Parallels, which lets you run Windows on your Mac. Not the same thing as a Mac version at all.

I have that capability, but I prefer to only boot up Windows when absolutely necessary.

Will that method work when you don't have FTP access or a local copy of the site? I'm generally needing this before my first meeting with a client who already has a website. That way I can see at a glance their page structure and know how many pages are on their current site.

Yup, there's (kinda) a way to do it in Dreamweaver. On the files tab, you see the connect icon, refresh icon, down arrow, up arrow, down arrow w/check, up arrow w/lock, and then a button next to it. Click the last one; its alt text is "Expand to show local and remote sites". Once you click that, Dreamweaver morphs into something like an FTP client. Run your mouse over the buttons and click the one that says "Site Map." I don't think there's a way to print it, I would just take a screenshot and print that out. That's the easiest way I can think of .

can you use dreamweaver to do that? I remember back from version 3 or 4, in the site setup, it would draw like a treee of all the files and their links to each other, not sure if they still do that (you do have to have a local copy on your machine for this though).

Just an idea.
