I think you need to say that the ad revenue is split in large text somewhere on the page. Its a bit too small at the top there, and I missed it at first, and it seemed like just another blog.

Its ok but to broad. The subjects are to different from one another. I would be happier as a user to read articles on one or two subjects that are perhaps related. Adds some pictures to make it more interesting, there is so much writing my eyes hurt.
I like the idea though, great article on stupid money making ideas!

I think the layout of the site is nice the navigation seems very easy but on the right on your subnav menu when the user puts their mouse over the link the font color changes to the same color as the background. You might consider changing it to something else where they can read what their mouse is over instead of what they thought they wanted disappearing. The page seems to be very nice though and a good idea hope you do well with it

Here Are Some Suggestions

I like the concept of article sharing. There are a lot of people looking for a place to read and submit articles.

When I looked at your site the words disorganized and confusing come to mind. However, that is an easy thing to correct.

A neat, clean and simple design might be more inviting.

Have you considered moving your navigation menu to the left and not making it so wide. How committed are you to the black color? To me it makes the site look gloomy and uninviting. Try a brighter color like light blue you have the article titles for navigation. You could then use black for wording if you like. Currently the text on your navigation is very hard to read and the highlight part makes it impossible to read. Also in the navigation panel the links Home and the links below that might be better in there.

You might want to put your Recent Articles in one place, instead of listing them separately in the navigation menu. For example link your Recent Article wording and when its click on all your recent articles will be there.

I don’t really care for the ad sense advertising but if you want it you could place them on the right side in a navigation style. Currently the ad sense is overlapping over into the main content of the pages and making the page annoying and hard to read. Take a look at the layout of the site below, it might give you a better idea of what I’m talking about. http://www.ecentralmarketing.com/2006/03/free-article-submission-list.html

Also if you are limiting your article sharing to strictly ad sense people, I feel you will be missing out on a lot of people who otherwise might be interested in submitting articles to your site.

Hope this helps you some.

Seems a lot better on the eye with the color changes. And it seems neatly laid out. The categories still arent too clear when you look through the summaries. Really need to know the category before you read, not after.

It all looks tidy, but I am still not sure that you have the right sort of format that is comfortable to read from? The black bar really defines the right side of the page as a whole, but the text area sort of flutters around in the middle, seeping into the white backgrounded column that you have reserved mainly for adsense etc. Doesnt it make your eye wander around instead of focussing on the text?

Plenty of material there though. Hope it pays off. Do you know about iSnare and articlebase? Maybe ask your writers to send some of their articles straight to their site and put a link back in the resource box to your site? Just an idea, because those sites seem to have access to thousands of publishers.

Also, would you be interested in doing an article swap? You write 150 words on a satirical/humorous line for my site and i'll write something for yours? Just another idea.

Some changes with design have been made. No pink anymore and no falcon. I'll be happy reading the reviews.

I like the concept of the web site but the black side panel is a bit offsetting. I mean the entire page is bright and lively then the black comes out of nowhere and is a bit depressing. I read (like most Americans) from right to left and the first impression for me atleast is something like:

"page loads: Nice and airy, ooh pink -- I like pink -- !!Black!! -- where'd that come from?"

Remember that the eye is naturally attracted to bright colors first.

Second I get the concept, I really do. But as I'm reading along the titles and the first sentence I'm thinking to myself "What is the theme of this site?" .. is it technology? is it fashion? hmm he has a black falcon as a logo -- maybe it's an advanced weaponry or gaming site? I don't know.

The actual content is all over the place to a point that I start to feel woosy and disoriented. Maybe a Category icon, like slashdot uses, can point out to the reader "hey this is a politics article -- read at your own risk".

Thats my 3 cents, hope it helps.

A long way to go

Hi

Readers will probably want to check out the content before they go looking to click through to anything? You might be struggling to get them past the first couple of summaries. The thing is, you cannot have typing errors and incorrect grammar on the front page of this type of heavy content site! (I write a lot and I can assure you that I understand completely how hard it is to write perfectly crafted text. I screw up all the time. Maybe like me, you need a second pair of eyes to edit for you, just as or before the articles are posted?)

Overall the look is pretty good. I dont like pink, but the colors work as a scheme and are fine for legibility. The text especially is a great size for readers of all ages, I would think.

The far right column would be really neat, if it weren't pushed away by the adverts.

If this is the business model, then join the club of article sites with adsense all over the place. It makes it hard to lay out your site for readers to feel like they arent tip toeing through adsense land. The 5 ads at the top of the riddles article was a real off-putter, but I am glad I scrolled down because your article made me laugh, the politics joke especially.

I hope you get some writers on board, I believe there is a lot of demand for good content from webmasters who usually hate or cant write, so you are on the right track as a business plan.

I am not sure about Adsense though for revenue. I am sure it earns some poeople loads of money, but f you look around, i think forums are prime candidates for it, because the layout always seems to keep the focal point ie the text away from the ads. Lke on this page, they dont distract me much but I know they are there. There isnt enough space to give readers on your site the feeling that they are being left alone. (Just a wierd observation from someone who has been up all night.)

Good luck
