&lt;p&gt;Let us know if you remember/find out what host that was. It would be interesting to find out if you can add normal email accounts dynamically as well.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;That&#039;s not necessarily true.  I&#039;ve moded a post-nuke site to add usernames to a valias file.... creating an email forward for every registered user.  All on a shared server (I don&#039;t remember the host, as this was back in 2002).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Chances are, if you&#039;re on a shared server, you won&#039;t be able to do that. If they give you a dedicated server to run how you want, it&#039;s much more likely to be a possibility.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;I very much doubt that you will be able to configure mailboxes for your users via a script on your site. You would need to speak nicely with the host and see if they have some kind of API that you can use, but I very much doubt it somehow.&lt;/p&gt;
