IMHO the header is too big to be so plain and the highlight should be a little more transparent.

Also the content header thing seems too big, but maybe once you finish it then that wont look so bad.

besides that, i think you should use less fonts

If you are referring to the site in your signature, then here's what I have to say:

The site itself is not ugly. It's simple, yet different in a way. Some of the mouseover effects could be done a little different though, especially the ones on the top menu. The thing that bugs me most, however, is the content. I understand that you said it's still under construction, but you need to add some content. I go here and see links and immediately think "what are you trying to sell me?" and "What do you get if I click on a link?"
