As far as the load time, I just ran a check on the page and "Dialup 56k" Is 5 seconds. Is that really bad. I honestly dont even know anyone that still uses dialup connection.

Your site takes way too long to load and it is virtually unintelligible while it is doing so. It may be a little old fashioned, but I have had good luck using tables to organize my site. I specify the dimensions in the table declaration and assign individual background colors as required. The text in entered using standard HTML and background graphic images are assigned. This results in a correctly formatted readable page being available in the browse almost instantly. It may take just as long to load the images and complete the page as your site currently takes, but you can read and use the site while the images are loading.

As others have mentioned changing your web host may decrease the loading time sufficiently that these measures will not be necessary. If you can find a way to view the site with a dialup connection, it may give you a much better appreciation of the problem. Personally if a site loads slowly I am inclined to go elsewhere.

Site does look alittle plain.

you have a very subtle texture on the left, but none on the top.
if only texturing one, I would do the top first. Personally, I would
have something more in contrast with each other, emphasizing
on the top verses the side.

Text reading all the way to the right edge of the screen looks
tacky, not to mention it's an exhausting read, exspecially on
my 27" HGTV monitor. You might try doing a right side &
using it for sponsors & what not?

As far as the look of the calculators go, some of them get pretty
intense. Might work with a small & large skin? You Might look into
if someone can put you something together like below?

Well that's my imput, good luck!

Site looks ok, but i wouldn't move from 1&1, i have been with them for a long time and they are very reliable and service very good. I have never noticed any problems with loading times on my site.

I Really like the layout of the site. I dont really care for the logo. I myself just dont like alot of clip art images, but everybody is different. I am just giving my opinion. I really like the detail that you put into the descriptions of the different calculators. Over all I think it,s a nice site. Once again I like the layout.

We have fixed up the appearance of the website, lightened the colors, less harsh, etc. Let me know if you think it looks a little better now. http://www.webcalcsolutions.com

I aggree with save a faimily. Graphics are harsh. The credit card payment one really needs to be cleaned up. Simple things like no Doc type and the constand use of can be changed to reduce code to content = better PR. I also think you need to experiment with a different color scheme.
