Sorry - A List Apart (ALA) is the site I linked earlier.

For CSS generally, you can search around for references and tutorials. I usually use the reference at W3 Schools.

What do you want to do with them? ALA has some good stuff, you should poke around there. The div tag is really a generic container box - the manipulation really happens with CSS.

What do you mean horizontal lists? Like the menu we've got at the top of the page here? That's a list. There's a good tutorial at A List Apart called "taming lists." Try that Although I really don't remember if they did the horizontal in there or not...

ETA: yes they did. Well, sort of. You could get a navbar like we have here by combining the techniques used for the breadcrumb navigation they have towards the bottom and the last texample with all the colours and formatting applied.
