It looks good, and I like the colours. I'm not so sure about the coloured bar that extends to the left and right of the adsense ad at the top. Also the text on the buttons at the top is too similar to the background colour, making it difficult to read.

It seems the site was designed to be very short - because both the left column and center column have now broken the design and are extending beyond the bottom bar - cutting out some of the text.

Also I agree with the previous comment about making the site's header title 'FROFI' more interesting - using another font or a graphic would 'brand' the site better.

Apart from that, great first site!

Anyway I like your site and more to the point I like your idea but I think it needs fleshing out a bit.

You need a tag line under FROFI (love the name) hate the acronym though its to clinical and eerm official and boring

And you need an angle – an attitude – something that makes you special and different to all the millions of news sites out there.

You need some passion – controversy, you need to project your personality into you articles.

When I read the word FROFI I’m thinking coffee like the froth on coffee

and I’m thinking of millions and millions of people on there breaks checking out what frofi has to say about the news because he/she is different to all the boringly serious news out there.

I think your idea could be big! especially if you’re doing it from a female perspective I believe there is a massive market for rebellious “sex in the city” attitude news site that zillions of office workers can read.

Humour – humour is good.

My answer is a bit woolly I know but that’s because I’m thinking as I type and it means I care..

I think the layout of your site looks awesome! I have to agree with a few others on the colors, they are a little distracting when you first come to the site. I would also try to make the individual sections pop out a bit more with a shadow effect or a dark border. But, I think you got the organization of it perfect! Good job!

Telling the truth-Just an Excellent start.I appreciate your design.But on colors front its not catchy,its irritating.The menu has some animations i like that.But try to darken the text on the menus.And you have used some odd colors that doesnt match.Ex - news and information - BG color doesnt suite with the text color.

it look pretty nice, but i can use some work. The color scheme to me wouldnt be pratical for a news site, unless the news is girly gossip! also, but i do like the navigation at the top.
