See the end of Abhishek's first post. If the "anti-copy" techniques actually block someone, then they are so inexperienced that them copying in your site most likely wouldn't be any harm to begin with.

Thanks for all the help.ill have to edit the name of the site out of a few pages so no one steals that, i havnt registered the domain yet and it took me forever to come up with it and it would kill me if I lost it lol then ill be able to upload it and see what people think. =)

Really, don't worry about it. Should someone copy it, all you can do is ask them to stop. You can threaten them with a lawsuit (bluff, if you can't afford it). And you can contact their host or ISP -- they'll usually listen if you hint at legal action. Most such cases are resolved this way.

Chances are that their copying won't impede your site anyway. So think about whether it's worth getting anxious over.

In the end, there is no way to prevent someone reading data you send them -- HTML code, Javascript, and images are sent client-side via HTTP. Any 'anti-theft' mechanisms you implement will probably only annoy your users, make your site non-standard, and fail to prevent code from being lifted.

lol I'm pretty sure I have no where near enough to even consider that, I cant even afford to get the site hosted yet.

I dont think the sites all that great, afterall I made it in Frontpage, but I have put alot of work into it so far and would hate to see it all go to waste.

Good question.

There are many thoughts on this topic...but unless you're implementing some fancy new AJAX application there's not a need to "encrypt" or protect your website. People rip off websites sometimes, yes...but when they do, it means two things:
a) you should be flattered
b) you probably have enough money to sue them anyways
