You can contact your hosting company about changing your domain name. Once you register a new domain name, the hosting company can change the primary domain name on your hosting package.

What you want to do is transfer your site to a new domain, correct? That's not hard to do. Once you register for your new domain name you can just point it to the host where your website is stored. After a little bit of time for it to get set up the new domain will be pointing at your existing website!

Domain names and hosting (file storage) are completely separate. You set up your domain name to point to where your website is stored.
