I would also add color as the site appears somewhat bland. You are obviously using phpnuke is the main layout so I would try to add a picture at the top to make your site more original.

To be honest (I hope you dont get upset) I think you need to get a pencil & paper, sit down, and draw out what you want your site to look like.

This site definitely does not draw me in. The design is boring and conveys no personality.

I suggest for a new site with little content to use 760px wide rather than 100% because 100% just stretches what little content you have and makes it look like alot less.

Add some colors and some images. Those will certainly help catch visitors attention.

Its easy to tell that you are using a generic CMS.. If you are not a coder at heart, perhaps start learning. PHP & ASP are both simple to learn and are more than powerful enough for the largest web apps. Making your own site, layout, code, graphics is difficult but not impossible. My site (http://www.staga.net) is completely built from ground up by me, and me alone. Code, layout, graphics... all from scratch. its taken me a few months as i learn new things but i think it pays out in the long run.

Hello there,

You hav a nice website. a few changes you could easily make to your site to improve it that little bit more are:

align the top banner center or have bigger banners created. Personally i think the top of a website is for your graphic and your graphic only, the same as the top of this website, it has its own "webmaster forums" graphic and then banners above it, so i think you should create your own top graphic.

secondly you need a bit more colour to the site, maybe a few pictures, some header text in a different colour for each catagory, at the moment it just looks like boring old text.

A few small changes could go a long way. Hope this helps.

A few remarks:
1. Your banner at the top is very flashy and draws attention away from the rest of the site. You may want to just leave the last frame of the image. You may also want to use that space to put a splash of cool that way you can get away with all the white.
2. It seems like the first page shows a very generic nuke site. Try to add some content right at the beginning that will draw in users and convince them to register.

I like the layout of the site, really nicely layed out, but the keyword uve used in your meta tags is alot, i aint no expert, but i remember reading tha you shold have around 10 or somthing, to get more targeted viewers, but ifits working for you the way it is, dont change it, its just what i remember reading, i may be wrong.

I am by no means in posession of an extension of expertise in the field, which is probably a good thing when it comes to reviewing.

First impressions:

Nice layout. Everything looks clean and tidy, everything is separated well into sections that are readable and identifiable.

Colour scheme. I like the colour scheme. I'm a fan of plain, simple and effective colour. Black, white and grey are an anchor if you can get the rest of the site right.

Comprehensive. Having browsed around the site, it's pretty clear that most things you might want to know will be available at some point somewhere on the site. Quite professional.

The top of the site does look a bit too bland though. I don't really think a overly graphic banner would work. Just a simple one, same colour scheme. A little bit of graphics wouldn't go a miss. For me, any more more than a little would ruin it.

Also, I noticed a couple of spelling mistakes on the front page, Sponsored and Competition - I'd be tempted to spell check the site.

Other than that, I think the site is appealing and well suited to it's purpose. Navigation is a little confusing at first, but easily enough understood.

It will be hard to honestly analyze your site because you used a portal. Youb are not flexible as to customizing your site. It is a clean site though.
If you need surfers to visit your site, you should offer at least one or two freebies.
