    <description> &lt;p&gt;I agree with above. Allow visitors to sign up for updates, news, and the like from your site. Also give an inccentive like mentioned above. At SearchBliss, people who join the mailing list receive discounts on all purchases (50%). This has worked well for us and we currently have almost 900 current members.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;I agree the best way is to generate yourself. If you buy an email list it won&#039;t help as most of the recipients will consider it as spam as they had never asked for any information about your products or services.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;The best way is to generate it yourself. You might try running a contest where the only thing required to enter is an email address. Then give the option to opt-in to the list of email addresses, but make the default option Yes, for them to be opted in. You do have to give them the option to not opt in, though.&lt;/p&gt;
