RAID controller failed. They are in the process of moving everything to a new Plesk 8.0 server. After finding out about the transition, i was actually glad it happened. Plesk seems better.

I went through this same thing yesterday. Anywherehost.

My sites were down for 24 hours. I couldn't log in to their page to issue a support ticket, so, i thought they skipped town. They have been good in the past letting me know when the server would be down for repairs, but never did it take more than 15 minutes.

After stressing for hours about the status of my sites i decided to call them. I could only leave a message, but my sites were back up and running in less than 10 minutes.

If you haven't called them, i would suggest doing so. If nothing happens within 24 hours, i would find someplace else.

I'm sure you would have known this already but sometimes your host will have technical difficulties and your site may go down briefly. This should happen very occasionally and the site should be back within a few minutes.

It looks like this wasn't the case for you! You do have your site backed-up on your computer, right? If so, it should be possible to re-create your site on a new server. If you need help finding a reliable host we can help you out there.

You'll probably need to go ahead and get hosting and change your domain name's nameservers over to your new hosting's nameservers.

Do you have access yourself to the domain record to modify it? Looks like for your domain, that would mean login info for NameCheap.com.

i was thinking about buying a server but how much would one cost just to host a single website
