Do you mean an error message where the image would be if the image didn&#039;t display?&lt;br /&gt;
If so thats what an alt tag does&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Or if you mean like a background, you can&#039;t to this in text but you can as a background image.&lt;br /&gt;
Used to be able to do this as a lowsrc but thats been phased out&lt;/p&gt;
