    <description> &lt;p&gt;Might you be talking about document.layer? That&#039;s an old JavaScript construct, really forget about it as it was proprietory to Netscape.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;However, different graphics file formats and graphics editors have layer information as well. So I&#039;m not really sure what you&#039;re referring to.&lt;/p&gt;
