Yes I agree fully. And I am seeking Communities that have been up and running for awhile that have low or no ad content... I know this forum has beed around for a long time and is just about the only forum I post in. So i will be picking only online Communities that tend to have a large member list as most display and I can update every 3 months.

You may find if you have to many sections it will become a full time job just maintaining them. Sites come and go, domain names expire (twf was once .com), subdomains are created/removed ... and if one site changes you could be left with a bad link which wont reflect well on you.

If you just want high ranking sites do a search on any search engine and grab the top ten sites, or if you want content pack a lunch and start reading. I wouldn't go by PR or adverts. Ideally the ones you want are the ones who aren't plastered in ads, these are just money makers and content could be copied or wrong, less ads usually means they care about the topic. Well thats my findings anyway.
