there was a Virus that attacked firefox a while back and put adult websites as the homepage and ect. It also gave you annoying pop-ups with adult content on them. Then it ate away at your hard drive finally ending in the result of your computer starting up saying that there's no OS on your computer..

I tried to un-install and re-install a few times already but to no avail..
I will try to use spybot. because actually the system is running quite slow.
And when I scroll down, it won't scroll down the screen smoothly..
Does that gotta do with spyware or the RAM? I dare not do anything yet to avoid any misery to my data..

New tabs can redirect to the homepage, it just depends on your settings.

But yes, a reinstall sometimes works, don't forget your bookmarks though.

Whats your homepage set to?
Some spyware can change your homepage. Spy bot (search and destory) and/or adaware should be run as well as anti virus

Are you using Windows? If so, try scanning for viruses.
