I think the site is way to colourful. As your shirts are colourful you can get awa with a blandish colour scheme. Let the shirts sell themselves. At the moment your shirts are competing with your layout.
Make your site less images (link buttons) and more text, no only would it help load time you could display more designs ...
One thing you do need is information, who are you, where are you, where do you send to, how much to send here, there or where ever, do customs fees apply if so by you or me ...
Get rid of your current contact page, especially with the visible names, use a form for contact - with options.
Centered text is a nono, not very professional.
While your shirt is targeting dereanged people, using the poop word (the forum would beep out the s word) is going to make you any more sales. I collect t-shirts, well not really they collect me, I have over 50 so I am the sort of person you want, but with crap like more **** coming i'd go elsewhere as your casual approach would probably reflect in your business dealings.

BTW your ad "All shorts $20 with free shipping" is kind of misleading, if I sent you $20 NZ (about $12US) and asked for all of them like your ad says you'd tell me to go jump.

Main page layout is ok but the text could do with tidying up a bit, it seems to be too disjointed and raggy. The effect works well as does displaying the wares on the homepage too!

How do I say this without just sounding like an asshole? How about some semi-constructive criticism.

The site is ugly, and I don't think anyone in their right mind would trust the product you're trying to sell. I would suggest looking at other sites which are essentially doing the same thing (tshirt hell, http://www.neighborhoodies.com, http://yque.com/ ) and also not putting your name as Lucas "Luc Skyywalker" Dade along with all your IM data, it just makes you look that more unprofessional, and like you've never sold anything. People don't want to be the first to buy something ever.

Next, don't say you're all hardcore and then be more subdued than [url:http://www.tshirthell.com/]t shirt hell, I'd be graphic, but I think this forum frowns on that. An example I would change. For the "April 15, 2008 Hermione turns legal" thing, may I suggest adding "I just broke the law" on the back? or vice versa. Maybe have more images, like "It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time" have the banana, or a jar of jelly "givin' it" to a jar of peanut butter? It just seems like a cop out.

Finally, the paypal system you have doesn't work, and even if it did, I wouldn't want to use it. I am guessing this site has made no money, and thus you've invested none in having some sort of payment system. Fix that.

That's all I can really say that isn't just down right mean and useless.

I like the "Happy Festivus" Seinfeld referance t-shirt. The menus seem a little too large for my taste. Otherwise, easy to get around.

Same here for the intro page. A darker background with words that are a different color might work, though. At least some of the image links on the first page under "Featured" are a bit blurry (need to be sharpened up with an image editor). Also, a much lighter shade of blue behind the red links, and maybe a smaller font size might look better. Red words over a darker-blue background can be hard on the eyes but, again, a lighter shade of blue might help with that.

I do think there is potential with this site, though.

I actually kinda like the splash page and I usually hate them. It was simple and fitting with the theme of the site - amused me. If you're going to keep the splash page, make the font at least twice as big. It's the whole feature of the page, make people take notice. But there is the ongoing question of the usefulness of splash pages ......

I think the basic design of the site is fine but the appearance does need fixing. As far as the blue & red goes, it doesn't work. If you use a dark blue & red it will combine much better. Lose the whitespace at the top of the page, and reduce the size of the buttons as others have said. Make them waaaaay smaller. Justify the font in the middle of the page, it looks weird all centred like that. The green $20 sign is a weird colour too. I agree that it looks a bit amateurish, but stick a funky semi-transparent image in the background of the whole page and I think it will lift it enormously - tie it all together. Something with a darkish blue tinge.

LucSkyywalker wrote: I just finished my T-Shirt site. WORD OF WARNING: If you check out the shirts they are NOT for the squeemish or ultra pure!
Just let me know what you think of the site itself!

NasTeeze.com

Thank You!
Luc

Glad about the warning......IMO, red and blue are okay but the website lacks professionalism. It looks like some ads flung up for sale without anything else to commend the site - like a hard-sell catalog of tee-shirts. As many others have said, it does not appear organized.
