We usually put up fake plastic trees in-doors, and we decorate them differently every year, I planted a tree (which im not sure if its a pine tree) that looks like a christmas tree (triangle shaped and all) when I was 18, so it kindof grown tall now and is just outside our house on the garden, thats the real tree I decorate myself with my siblings and the little kids would make this scene from native materials of the Holy Family near the Tree...

Real, always. Pine tree scent, and a mess when it comes down. I go nuts with the decorating too!

With the new house, and the fact that we have just painted....... I do not think a tree is in the future. We are also getting rid of the popcorn celing around that time also. However we usually go with a real one from a lot.

Bought a really good quality 7ft one this year to replace a really old knackered one we have used for about 10 years! I like putting the lights on myself, it's part of the tradition! Have also got a small fibre-optic one for the office

We've been getting a real tree for ages but last year we got a fake one which we'll be re-using. Sadly, no one really gets excited about Xmas anymore so it negates the pain in the arse-ness of having little bits of tree stuck in the carpet!
