Not bad. But the banner at theh top overlays a couple of the buttons to the right. I see Forums and ASP but I can't make out what the other buttons say. I'm viewing from a small laptop screen & using IE.

Forums look good.

Good luck .

The reason why you're having trouble with the CSS is because you're still using old school design methods. Putting navigation all in graphics and trying to make it display exactly they way you designed it in your graphics program. There is a bit of a learning curve but it is worth it in the end. CSS can actually give you a lot more control over the layout and allows you to do a lot of great things without necessarily having to use graphics all the time. Look at other CSS designed sites to get ideas - there is a thread in the Concept, Layout, and Graphic Design forum with some links to CSS sites. Those are going to be a bit over your head for right now but they will give you some ideas about how this should be done. Even try looking at some of the sites of the members around here - quite a few are done with CSS layouts.

About the design - I think the colour scheme is very bland here. The background colour is really a nothing colour (what would you call that anyway? Gray? Greenish?) and there is no accent colour at all. Try incorporating a really bright accent colour to bring some life in.

The logo also needs a lot of work. It is just plain old ordinary text. Try looking for a unique font to do that in, and incorporate the accent colour rather than doing it in plain black. I think this would be better if it was white instead of black too. Also think about some sort of icon or illustration to represent your site. The logo is also way too big. Look around at any major website - the logos are always very small. Often they'll put some white space around to make it stand out more. Smaller can have just as much impact as bigger and it takes up less space You wouldn't have problems putting the navigation there if the logo wasn't so big.

The navigation is similarily bland - again, plain ordinary text with a box around it. If you're not going to do anything too exciting with navigation it might as well be plain text.

I do think that the body of the content looks good. Nice and simple with basic structural mark-up. Good job with that

Everyone has to start somewhere...

I should have clarified- this review is mainly about the colour scheme and basics of the site. I will revive this thread once the site has actually been completed.

The first thing that hits me is that there is no explanation for FusionNX, what does it mean? What does Project Phoenix mean?

I'd like to see a far more developed home page to review really, there's just nothing there! I think with a site like this, which is an ultra saturated market, you think about you can be different. You should be looking into RSS feeds, e-newsletters etc.

Design wise, i think the buttons are a bit iffy, you could of used text for them really. Your background is similar to Macromedias, and their logo is nothing special but look what they've done with their site : http://www.macromedia.com/. I take it that you spend a bit of time on the web, so you MUST occasionally trip up on good looking site. You really need to draw some inspiration as you're still not there in my opinion...

I don't think there is much to judge, except that i think the text is too big. You could use a bit of JS to do a text resizer...?

Good luck.
