&lt;p&gt;I don&#039;t think you&#039;ll be able to find one that&#039;ll support username/passwords from an existing DB off the bat, however hacking a phpbb install shouldn&#039;t be too difficult.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The industry standard and software in use here is vBulletin, it&#039;s very good but you do have to pay for a license.&lt;/p&gt;
