Find out what server side language your friend uses (PHP, ASP, Coldfusion ...) which would make it a lot easier to help you further

Sounds like a blog to me - we'd have to see an example URL to really know for sure and tell you how to set that up yourself.

Do you have the your friends web address? You can probably find out who is hosting it. Why not jsut ask the friend?
