Just wanted to let everyone know that Earl did, indeed, send gift certificates. I was the lucky recipient of one.

Good luck with the problem, Earl.

Thanks for everyone who helped so far.

Fortunately (or unfortunately form some point of view), I had 10% of the responses from folks who could not reach the site. The problem is still not obvious. I first thought it was a DNS problem, but some folks could resolve the IP# but could not reach the site... {sigh}. At least one case might be attributed to the Level3-Cogent feud, but most of the others could not (our statewide PeachNet has connections to both Cogent and Level3)

Although my incentive period has ended and the two certificates sent, I am still interested in cases where folks cannot reach our site ( http://law.gsu.edu/home.php ). I will leave the feedback page up for now for those gracious enough to help.

Roo was right to some degee. I've had a few dozen responses, but only a few from those who could not reach the site. I still need more responses from any ISP, but especially from people who use Verizon DSL or BellSouth.

Odds of being chosen for a $25 Amazon gift certificate are still good!

Please respond before Wed noon EST.

Thanks in advance,
- Earl

I have gotten a somewhat good response so far - thanks for taking the time to run the validators on the site(s).

I am not troubleshooting the content of the pages (which I know is crap), but rather an issue where people CAN'T REACH the site, no matter what browser they use. The problem is more likely to occur on Verizon DSL, but has also occurred on Comcast & BellSouth. Laptops that work fine on campus fail to connect from other locations. This may be at least partly a Level3 vs. Cogent problem, ans the Trace Route results seem to be indicating, but it started before I started here two weeks ago, so I think there's another problem.

*Edit*
I suggest you check this thread...it's not likely that anyone is going to personally e-mail you, or fill out a form in order to help someone whose posted to a public forum.

I accessed just fine using Firefox. However those code errors could cause pages to hang, I suggest validating your code and css.

Links to errors on the three pages you posted:
Link to errors 1 • Link to error page 2 • Link to error page 3 • Link to CSS errors
