I have to agree that there is way too much going on on the homepage. I like the title bar and the animal pics are cute and inviting, pet owners will love that. But then I was just over-awwed with the amount of text and products.

3-4 highlighted products with larger pics and text would be much better and then you could space things out a little more and make your text bigger.

The top text that describes the company should really be the first thing everyone reads and therefore needs to stand out more, maybe using bullet points or something similar.

I would try and limit your colours also as the very nature of your products and business should dictate a very clean and fresh website/colourscheme.

I noticed on your product pages you have an extended menu on the left in gold which works really well, I would put this on the home page too.

In a nutshell I'd say less is more on a homepage, just enough information to make someone look further but not too much to bore or scare them off.

Best of luck and well done.

Design: I like the colors and general layout, it is fairly inviting and warm. The info module on the bottom left side is not following the same style sheet rules (I suspect because the info header does not have < a href > tag.

The footer tag is not center or left/right justifed properly.

I would put a medium grey border around the shoppoing cart "module" to make it a tad more distingusihable.

Accessibility: There are some images (like the shopping cart image, credit cards, 91 in all) that does not have a alt="" tag in it. Make sure that it's all covered.

Content: Front page seems a bit too busy, but it's not completly overwhleming.

I like it. The layout is simple yet professional. The only thing is that it doesnt fit in my browser horizontally. No big deal but maybe something to look at.
Good work.

I agree, it is a little cluttered on the front page.... could spread it out a bit, onw thing i dont want is to slammed with too much information on one page. The style and design is great, it looks VERY professional.

BTW.... i have two dogs as soon as you open you have a customer Nice prices.

You are based in the U.S. right?

I agree with most of what people have said above.

When the website first loaded I was very impressed. It is very professionally done and looks great. The logo (upper-left image) doesn't flow into the rest of the header. One just stops and the other begins. Not a big deal though...

I like how you use pictures for all of your products. It definitely helps, but you should really limit yourself on the amount of stuff you put on the front page. It looks very crampred and makes me feel like I'd never be able to find anything.

Good luck with your business! Once your website is up to par, I think you could become very successful.

The site has a neat, professional layout that serves well for a storefront. I would suggest featuring only three or four products on the homepage and using dropdown menus for each of the categories. Also, you may want to have the 'information' change for each page to be info specifically about that category and shorten the main page title to "Pet Supplies from Dog, Cat, Etc.,". I like your Pet of the Month idea, but you should offer a form for users to upload them directly, instead of by e-mail. Overall, I think you're definetely ready for business!

First off, I like your header and overall look. Nice job on that.

However, the section with the products is just way, way too cluttered. The "Top Categories" section really is only big enough for two of those categories to fit and be easily readable. You can still use two rows, but only have one column. In the "Featured Products" section, you might be able to fit four and keep them easily readable. Maybe a 2x2 grid.

I know some of that may be built into your store management software, but that's my advice. If there's any way to change it at all, do so.

I would nitpick a few other minor things, but all those products crammed in there needs to get changed first.

Very nice header and look overall.
