It's a tad on the slow loading up side of things for me.

A nice, neat and generally well done design/site though my qualm comes in the form of your text, a little on the dull side perhaps.

It is not bad looking but it appears so pale that I am a bit turned off by it. The Colors are so pale that nothing stand out.
Also since it is a website appealing to professionnals, you should have a more professionnal approach.
The project section is way larger than it should be (takes all the width of the page whereas the rest is 800 pixel wide)

I like the concept though and I feel it can have good success but I would suggest you let freelancers add their own book to your site. Right now it is too much like only announces.

I agree with sothink, your page seems really really messed up. For example light blue is used in the middle section but is no where to be seen on the header section. Also there are major problems with stretching on my screen. I would consider using rollover on all your navigation elements in the header.

The domain name itself is good. The logo is good, but from the featured projects down looks like a disaster, The site doesn't seem to flow very well.

The middle part makes the whole page strange. Your three parts top, middle and footer looks great and professional if they are separate. But as a combination, the middle part looks stretched.

The google ad should be placed to another position.

I would use Leaderboard (728 x 90) ad on the main page, and maybe Square (250 x 250) ad on either side of the header.
