I get an error on the page:
Line: 187
Char: 1
Error: Syntax error

I don't mind the layout but agree that it needs a bit of padding so that text isn't running hard up again the sides. Also I feel that it needs a proper logo - I know that is kind of there with the picture in the middle but the top of the page is where you'd normally expect a header section containing the logo and this design almost seems like the header is missing and is too cut off at the top.

To me it looks to crowded, no margins on sections, grey background, palour stripes and is also a bit confusing, different coloured links, text the same as heading links ...

Sounds like you enjoy designing layouts, through another one together as ask the members here to give their choices on which and why.

BTW two fingers is silimar to one finger in some other countries, but thats what its about right.

@ Megan : It's working as intended, however the entire site itself is still a work in progress. That explains why the functionality of the site is pretty limited. (There are a few sections that contain content) The average user at the site actually does stick around and read over the little that's available on the site, and they also make a stop at the forum community.

Eh, not really a critique. If you want a full critique you can go ahead and post one in the correct area. Then we could give you some more detailed advice on what to tweak.

At first glance this looks fine to me. I think the real problem to consider is whether it's working as intended. Are users getting deeper into teh site? Are they clicking past the first page? Are they spending a lot of time or are they leaving right away? Take a look at your statistics

I thought that was a middle finger at first two but if you look closely he's holding up two fingers. The top one just got cut off.

Sorry about the finger! He's actually chunkin' the deuce! ...but yeah... I guess this also merits a change. Good point Greg, maybe this should have been under the critique section.

Ok, I made the mistake of opening it here at the office, with someone nearby. Needless to say I closed it immediately when I saw an image of someone giving me the middle finger. So I didn't really notice too much else besides that and how the menu areas had to shrink as the images loaded (in firefox).

Later on this weekend I may be able to give a better opinion when others are not around.

IMO, this thread falls under a "Critique", so perhaps should be there, and that area has policies on posting. Other may find this as a general discussion, so may like it here.

-Greg
