    <description> &lt;p&gt;I was thinking the same thing as Megan. Try hers out it should work. There are also a bunch of other colour modes as well you can try out.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;In the new file dialog box there is an option at the bottom for colour mode.  It sounds like it&#039;s got greyscale checked in there.  Change it to RGB.  In an existing image go image &amp;gt; mode &amp;gt; RGB colour (or something like that - don&#039;t have it in front of me to check)&lt;/p&gt;
