You will probably only get a decent conversion rate from really good SEO, i.e specific keyword terms. Do you go through your log files to see what people are typing in to get to you, or what referrer links you're getting?

I'm not sure if it is a glitch but i am on a 2MB connection and your site took an AGE to load...

To be brutal, when your site did finally load, i can see why people aren't buying. You need a re-design..where is the menu? You need to make the site as intuitive as possible!

It depends on how targeted your visitors are. All my visitors have made a search to find someone offering my services. I get a huge 20% conversion rate. If I was just to count visitors who were just surfing the web and found a link to my webpage the conversion rate would be less than 0.5%.

A good conversion rate is one that makes at least enough money to live on and pay all the expenses.

After looking at your site you could certainly improve that rate by having a good copywriter rewrite many of the pages.
And some "proper" SEO wouldn't go amiss instead of those totally useless meta tags you have.

There is no meta name="common misspellings" or name="caps variations"
