Oh, oh mouse-over the issue number and it does stuff!! Sorry to be geeky but it really is the little things about designs that work for me!

I like it I like it a lot... But then I'm as blinkered about everything Zeldman does as much as I'm blinkered about how wonderful PHP, MySQL and Opera are. Not only that but Eric Meyer crafting the CSS! Have heard of this ruby on rails thing before and ignored it, now Zeldman's using it I'll be singing it's praises - damn I'm so predictable.

Was wondering what had happened to ALA, thought it had died a death like the Dunstan and Joshua Ink sites, am damn glad they were doing something constructive during that time off!!

Thanks for pointing that out chris.

Yeah, I love ALA, but the old design was too cramped and too conservative for what I felt ALA stood for.

Maybe this will grow on me - I definately thinks it's a vast improvement. Interesting that they're utilising Ruby on Rails. I'd be really interested to find out if anyone on this baord has any experience with it

Well, it's about freakin' time! That last article was posted on my birthday - 3 months ago.

The new design is too wide for my window, that's annoying. Especially since most of the left column is blank. I don't like the four columns at all. Too cluttered and hard to find the important elements.

I'm not sure how I feel about the look and feel either. It's definitely an improvement over the old design which I found to be rather dingy.
