    <description> &lt;p&gt;XHTML would have minimal effect on older browsers, it&#039;s basically HTML just more strict.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To test, you&#039;d probably have to find someone with the browser and view it in there, download/install the program(s) yourself and view it there or, alternatively, you would find one of those sites that offer that is a service.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;You might want to try focusing on getting the HTML and CSS looking right on older browsers.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Like already mentioned, PHP is a server side language, browser doesn&#039;t really matter.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;All the PHP is rendered on the server and then the results are sent to the user&#039;s browser, so the user sees it exactly the same as they would if it were just regular HTML.&lt;/p&gt;
