I very much like it. great colours and style

one thing i found bad, was the load time...took over 5 seconds for the page to fully load.

The is my first review. Here goes!

Positive

1. Gives a real sense of home craft type goods - nice feel - traditional
2. Not too pushy - if I was in the area I'd drop in

Constructive criticism

1. Links on the left - but they aren't links - I keep clicking them. Have read above posts and understand why now.

2. What about a link to a map e.g. Google maps?

3. An idea. Offer your client the additional pages at no cost and set-up a simple cart system - if the business comes in, split it 50%/50%.

4. Looking at the content, meta tags, page title: would anybody find this website unless they knew where to look? I may be wrong.

Hope that any of this was helpful.

Matt.

I like the simple look of it, but the yellow in the navbar, green background and light-green don't go together very well, IMO. I think the photo of the store is good, but might look better if it were bigger, or maybe incorporated into the banner/navbar more.

Also, my eye is kind of being pulled to the right too far. Maybe if the navbar width was smaller so that the real content is more centered? I know you'd have to use line breaks, but it might be worth it.

I like it, very homey feeling. But like said above, I think the site would gather more interest if the products on the left side had links to them with info and examples.

Slide show?! What slide show?

Guess it doesn't work in Opera (version 8.01), or maybe it's this bloomin dialup. Hmmm.

Ok, we know your reasons for the title so no worries there (thanks for the reminder anyway)

It is a shame this site is only one page - wonder why people just refuse our advice sometimes, but whatever. The left side categories really want to be links, I keep wanting to click on them, could something be done with those?

The green is ok, if a little dark and I like the BG pattern, although it doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the design (sweeping curves etc) very well. It seems you're compensating for this by increasing the width of the border, but all this does is mask the effect slightly, not stop it entirely

I'd want a more compact, and scaleable logo, something more along the lines of their sign I can just see in the background. Can you get the font for that? Or even get an image of the sign straight-on and draw around it in Photoshop (sounds extreme but I've had to do this several times in the past).

Overall a good design, but the background and main design clash somewhat, the categories look like a menu and the logo needs work IMO.

Sorry for the somewhat frank opinion, have just written a letter of complaint to my ISP and blood is boiling a little - please don't take it personally

Generally you just may have incompatibility when displaying photos, (especially slideshow ones) Thats why photo galleries are derived for that purpose...
1. if you use flash (swf) then theres a greater chance that it wont be viewed by most visitors...
2. Scripts, same as above...
Dont you think so steve?...
Sometimes I sacrifice a front page by using Iframes to show the gallery on the front page (I know plain frames are bad) but iframes as ive experienced is used by many pages... (also double head and body tags; they dont care about the code)... Thats why im trying hard to promote standardization, (W3C) is a start...

Site looks good to me very simple and to the point and very clean...and if it's what the customer wants then it's perfect right?

Yes it is possible to do what you want, Dynamic Drive also has some scripts for that. But I really, would not want to fill my page with javascript.
Remember my little photo changing thingy Demon. That can also be used to change an image, you could set time on it up to a day if you wanted, that was a javascript. Really one other reason why I removed it. Also so many people are running around with java disabled in their windows, and the new Windows coming out wont support it why use it.

yourlifeforce wrote: OK ... I know this isn't really a review .... (although your site looks great) ... but that javascript image fade that you are using .... can that be put into a background? For instance ... I have :

<TD style="BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url(<a href="http://www.LifeForceOnlineStore.com/img/bg/bg5.jpg" class="bb-url">http://www.LifeForceOnlineStore.com/img/bg/bg5.jpg</a>); BACKGROUND-REPEAT: no-repeat" align="right">
'

and I want the image to constantly change. Do you know if this is possible?

Can you post this question to a new thread and specify what you really want to have on your site (what you intend to do with the fade effect)
