select the 'startup' tab

find the program tshotkey in the list and uncheck the box. this will stop the program starting when windows does.

Since that program is a Toshiba program it is doubtfull that it is the problem. Instead of wipeing you entire computer how about booting in safe mode disabling any unnessesary processes, and programs that start up automaticly usually done by clicking start>run> and typing msconfig then run adaware and Hijack-This to identify any spyware and remove it. The reboot normaly and see how that goes.

I can suggest to use Acronis True Image, to don't lose time to rebuild a system from scratch every time. It is very easy to use and fast. It help me and my clients very much.

Simple search on the web has foudn the following:

http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/thotkey/

http://www.hardavenue.com/startup/THotkey.exe.php

Easiest bet would be back up your data and use the recorvery disks. (not easiest for me, but my sugestion as easiest for you based upon your post).

Unfortuently, it is time consuming. Set it up right too.

All "data" files, put on a separate drive or partition. (my docs, favorites, etc) all your files edited by your applications. Then once everything is installed and you have all patches and updates installed, use something like norton ghost to make an image of your C: partition. then if you when you have trouble down the road, you can can just reload the image of your OS/APPS, and your data is still on the other partition. You will only have to reinstall new apps/updates since your image.

Compared to the hours it can take to rebuild a system from scratch every time, it is well worth the software like ghost or something similar.
