Well the site is not ugly. You could still get rid od the background image (it's to complex and kinda makes the page look too crowded). I see you've got a favicon, nice touch. Don't use Times New Roman, I recommend verdana and tahoma since they are a bit wider and simpe and easy to read.
For a noo site it's quite good

i should state that the images on both sides of the page are not mine i pulled them off yahoo, untill i get to make my own graphics i just wanted to give it a image so peole woudl at least wanna click on it. but the layout and header my creation, with paintshop pro, i liek it , even tho its simple and plain. but this is why i came here to get people to tell me their opinons and like the forum description says what better place to get it then from actual webmasters liek youreselves...
