Showing how a virus works is one thing, giving the code to make one is another. The two are pretty much the same but kiddie scripters see it as a xmas present. A section on security would probably make your cause a bit more legite

What Busy said. It depends on a lot of variables. Legalities stretch to an enormous array of topics depending on what business your in... even if it's non-profit.

If you have the means to afford at least a few hours of consultation, meeting with an attorney is probably not a bad idea.
