    <description> &lt;p&gt;30k/second doesn&#039;t seem to unreasonable for a 10MB cable and card (are you sure the they&#039;re only 10 and not 10/100, though? They&#039;d have to be pretty old to only be 10). The cable and card can support 10MB/sec, but that doesn&#039;t mean you get anywhere near that throughput, due to a myriad of factors.&lt;/p&gt;
