I think I am slowly getting there with my website and that every time I redesign I get better. The question has been raised why use flash, but I am good at it and I like it so why not use flash?

I think the website that I am designing at the moment will be the best so far: - mainly HTML but with a few flash additions.

I have come a long way, and obviously I still have a lot to learn but I am getting there - by the time I am your age I'm sure I will be a real pro!

I'll keep designing this website and then I'll get back to you so you can see what you think of it.

mate, you cant have images on your site with the camera time stamp on them - it looks awful! Soz bud but it does. In agreement to the last post, yes why do you want to use Flash so much ? Sites with small Flash components can look visually stunning but whole flash sites rarely are user friendly. Take the one I examplified in previous posts ; lewishickey.com

While it looks superb, its fairly hard to navigate & would benefit from a much simpler interface.

For you to get regular custom, your own site must be technically, artistically & attention grabbingly AWESOME! IMHO !

I really do appreciate your a young lad ( dont mean to sound condescending ) & I know its very easy to say you shouyd do this & that blah blah blah at the end of the day, its your site, do what you want with it!

But in my experience, you will need to use either your site, or examples on it, as a showcase of your talents ( like your online CV to prospective customers )

Incidentally , how much would you charge for a basic website ? You still never got back to me with that quote, ( either with or without outsourced MySQL support ) Although I do appreciate your honesty about not knowing how to do it

Yes - I know that. I plan to have HTML with a flash banner (just like the top part of my current site) and perhaps just some Flash movies advertising/explaining my services.

I think I'm better at Flash than HTML, to be honest. I a failing at the moment to add the professional look to ny basic HTML templates.

Anyway, major havoc as Flash now crashes when trying to create my big website.

I am now designing an HTML based (with Flash in it, naturally) website which I'm sure will please many people here.

Did you know that when you click on the portfolio link, the picture ( of a screen display at an angle ) you can see the time signature from the digital camera it was taken from!?

Both - I am making/have already made some minor changes and I just plan to constantly change it slightly every so often.

my stats are quite interesting - 75% of my viewers exit before 5 seconds! (If you want the full stats then let me know)
