    <description> &lt;p&gt;Well, www is technically a subdomain, and a totally different beast than without. So, it is fully possible that the www and non are on different servers, and the www is more busy/overloaded. They do both resolve to the same IP address, so they aren&#039;t on different servers... could be that there is some form of web server redirect process that has to take place to make it www. so yeah, contact the admins.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;oh, and on a DSL connection, the difference is about a minute, heh.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If I were to take a shot in the dark, I&#039;d say it&#039;s how the server is configured -- possibly the number of http connections to the www. address is less than the number for the address without. Talk to whoever runs your server. The thing is, it seems like you have visited the site first, with the &quot;www&quot; and then revisited the site again without the &quot;www.&quot; The images are already stored in the cache the second visit so loads faster. Try it again by emptying the cache for the second visit.&lt;/p&gt;
