Site is pretty nice, but I noticed that it does some drifting in sub 800x600 scaling (if you don't open it maximized) at least on WinXP/MSIE6
(picture of what I mean)

I'll second the people here
As I know, you are very keen on clean and good coding, so I guess we'll have to shut up on that, as I'm sure some of us are left behind
Since your visitors don't care about conding. I don't care about coding. As long as the site loads OK and the layout is not crippled I don't look at how it's coded. But I sure look at it's layout. Has it got a nice layout? Colours, graphics?
Work some more in Photoshop. Make your site stand out. Try to play with the idea of tailoring. You could do some amazing stuff. Since I'm a Karate enthusiast and my sites have got the dojo part in their name I tried to play with this and make them stand out a bit. The layouts are far from perfect, but could be easily remembered by the visitors.
There are so many sites with webdesign services that look the same.
You've got a great "theme" - tailoring - use it ... make it stand out: let your people know you can make perfect fit sites, as a good tailor could make them pants and clothing.

Hope it helps Good luck with this project

Well, I like the color scheme. I especially like the main title of the site with the green gradiant font. My only beef is that this doesn't seem to be a good representation of someone offering graphic design services and web page design.

From a graphic design perspective there are none... save your logo and your two images.. one of which I could not open in your portfolio. I like the fact that you have tutorials... but I think that area should be expanded if you are going to bother keeping it... make it so people want to come back and learn more after seeing it. If it isn't going to be used as a reference... why bother.

I will give this a 6 out of 10.

Robb.

Hey, Taylor, I haven't forgotten.

So you've done it on your own this time. It's an okay start but I think you need to do a lot of work on your graphics. This could be improved a lot with a simple colour scheme alteration and a new header graphic.

One really simple and easy but great looking technique to use for a header graphic is to get a nice stock photo and crop it to some interesting abstract looking section. This is what I did with my site. Very easy and it looks great.Use a simple but elegant font for your text and you're done.

Alternately, you could find a piece of clip art that represents the "tailoring" idea and use that with your text in a logo.

No need to put your url in the header graphic. Either put a little ".com" next to the main text or leave it out altogehter.

The colour scheme here also needs work. It's very gray. Bland, boring. Use more of the green and blue and you'll be headed in the right direction.

In Opera 7.5 I'm getting a very long piece of empty space at the bottom of the page.

Good job with the text - a lot of people have problems with this. I have noticed a few errors (your instead of you're on the "web development" page). You should have someone proofread this for you.

one thing I just noticed is page titles. It's really important to have a good page title that accurately describes the page. This is important first of all for the users but also for search engines.

I don't actually like to use templates I do if my clients need/want to use them. I changed the menu rollovers, they seem to match my site better... what do you think?

I don't know where I got is from since I was using many places to get them from. Thw peoblem is it's a template I've seen in some places and it's that familiar it just sticked to my eyes. Even in sites with free downloads there are some nice layouts and this particular one is not that complicated so we couldn't make it in a max of 3-4 hours.
