Hi, a good program I had used in the past was WebCam32 (http://www.surveyor.com/index_webcam32.html)

This program had many features and options. With this software, it will run a server that feeds out the live webcam image. If your client has a static IP address, you could link to it from the web server.

Additionally, it offers FTP upload, where you set up the FTP login info, and set how often to do it (say once a minute), and then at those intervals, it captures and image, does an FTP login and uploads the image.

Additionally, this allows you to add text headers and footers, image overlays, etc to the image. I'm sure they have more features now, I haven't used it since around 2001. We had it run 24/7 on a win 98 machine to monitor a computer lab on another floor. Student assistants would leave up to a half hour early and arive a half hour late.) It was a very reliable program.

If I have a need for the use again, I would definatly get the latest copy of this to use.

-Greg
