I, personally, don't like Flash sites. I think it's taking the easy way out, and in many cases, a poor job of what could be done better by coding.

Flash isn't all that usable either. Some of us web design extremists don't even like that.

This also differs between browsers, those links you gave for example I see the status bar in all of them, I wouldn't trust a site without a status bar these days as I like to see where I'm about to go. Affiliate links have caused this mis-trust

oh and another thign it does that i despise.. it places the URL on the TITLE of the broswer.. wow i hate that .. all this happen after i did an update that installed a pop up blocker and firewall and all this other stuff that's not needed.. i really hate it .. i could easily take it off.. but i'm just thinking of all the peopel who do the update and they have it those settings

Heh, no problem... We question because we're suspicious of people who wish to potentially restrict the useability of a site. In this case it appears your reason is good, however it would appear that this security fix stops the author from removing the status bar.

The best direction I can point you in is the Microsoft Knowledgebase, firstly confirm the update removes the ability to do what you want and if you're lucky it'll also tell you why!

i appreicate your replys.. but i don't know why i should be questioned about why i'm doing this but my reason is because i do artist websites.. there's a pop up with a flash doc.. that status bar makes everythign look ugly.. here is the thing

Definitively I don't know, however you seem to have answered your own question. It is presumably a function of the security update to stop people such as you removing the status bar due to - as Eskater says - it being an infringement on the users privacy/control.
