My sister is currently studying abroad in equador, so I may be making her a blog. My friend does graphics for the BYOND Gaming System , so I'm going to be making him a site to sell them. My neighbors homebrew for fun, and I designed them a logo, and I may do them a site. I'm also thinking about redesigning (for free) some one page sites for local businesses.

I'll be working on my portfolio, and thanks for the suggestions.

I think you're right... you're background is too dark now. I get a halloween feeling looking at it now.

Play around a bit with your colors until you find something you really like.
How about the reddish color you're using for your titles?

Right now though I feel you need to concentrate on building a portfolio. Not only will it give you sites to show off but it'll also give you more practice. Make at least a half dozen designs for yourself or friends that revolve around different things (games, hobbies, blogs, weird things you can do with a spatula...). It doesn't matter if they end up being "real" sites, but what you want is to play with expanding your designing abilities.

I agree with Temudzin... you have evolved very quickly with your skills!

Karen, in response to too much orange, I have made the background a kind of brownish black. I think it's a little too dark, so i'll continue to tweak.

Thank you. I wrote most of it, with some help from my mother, who is a wonderful writer. She doesn't work any more, I wonder why she doesn't write a book!
