On the right hand side you have a poll - I am going to venture a guess and say the poll is a test, because you repeated the possible results.

I find it difficult to see you name at the top of the page. Since that is the name of your site, shouldn't it be a bit easier to read?

The search box isn't functioning properly (I am viewing with Firefox). You are missing a graphic from one of your sponsers.

Thanks for the helpfull reviews you all given, I have decided after some disccussion to pinpoint the site at a "Computer Communnity" a home for IT news and such. But not for the bussiness user, more for the fun "lets see what happens" I have resigned the whole site, still using PHP-NUke, come back along and see what you think, I'm sure, or at lease I hope you all will like it!

The overall design here is not bad (for a nuke site) but I am finding a lot of problems with it.

First of all, the header graphic is really not very good. It's difficult to read what the text says there. All the fonts are too weirdly shaped and too many effects have been applied. The logo and header area needs to present an image of your site to the people. It needs to communicate a sense of what you are about. You want them to remember who you are and they can't do that if they can't read the text.

Avoid centering text. It looks really bad on a screen and makes things hard to read, since the eye needs to jump back and forth from line ot line. Centering generally works well for small amounts of text, particularly in print, but not on the web.

You might want to check this out in Opera, there are a lot of things going wrong (text not lining up over buttons, no navbar, banner scroller not working).

In general, I'm not a big fan of Nuke sites. They all look the same and I don't like the boxy look. Everything is so divided up into its own little compartment. Too many boxes everwhere. It also puts a lot of crap on the page to disguise the lack of content (crap = polls, "who's online", things like that. Not content, but takes up space). But if that's what you have to do to start out then go ahead. I'd actually like to see a nuke site that used the system well.

I have no idea what this site is all about. It doesn't seem to have any purpose. You need at least a few lines as to what the site is there for. Who is the target audience? What is membership for?
