Hey that's sweet! Thanks so much for the link!

I wish they had one for Safari (see I want it all ), but it's nice to know someone understands.
Of course, I appreciate the webdesigners who understand that frustration the most.

Karen, I heard about this Firefox extension and thought you might be interested. It displays an image next to non-webpage links telling you what they are (e.g., an Adobe icon next to links to PDF files).

The blog is shorter which is great. I would have maybe used a ligh alternating background colour to seperate the posts. The header of each post is also slightly lost so maybe a different shade for that?

Karen, thanks for the kind words. There isn't a page where all of the links are listed, but I'm not too worried about it. Because of the nature of blogs (viewers revisiting every couple of days) and the number of links I imagine the experience as more of a "I'll check a few links each time I visit" instead of "I'll check out 100 links the first time I visit."

The Archive pages have to be long because they list an entire month's posts, but I did shorten the main page to only list the last 5 posts instead of the lasts 7 days worth.

Phil, I agree about the posts not breaking up as much. That's one of the biggest eyesores I want to fix. I've made a few changes, could you look at the site again and let me know what you think? Do you have any suggestions to make it better?

The banner image is another big thing I want to fix. I want to add more color but I'm not sure my Photoshop skills are good enough to do and make it look good. I'll keep playing around with it, though.

I've seen and read quite a few blogs and the best ones are the ones you don't realise are a blog. The simple reason being that if the content is presented correctly it will appear to be a more informative site.

Your content is not broken up between the blog entries which does make it quite hard to break up the individual entries. This gives me the feeling of the page rambling on and on which leads to frustration, boredom, tears, mild depression!

Just kidding about the last two but I thinkg you need to look for a clear method to break up the entries. The layout of the nav is clear and simple to understand although the top graphioc is a little weak. It's too dark and you can't really see any definition to make you think "wow" and want to continue....

I really like your layout here! Good colors and easy to get around in.

Since this is your blog, I understand that you want to put the links in the order that makes sense to you. I have to admit that I'm surprised that you have your own content (highlights and archives) on the bottom under the off site links. How 'bout seperating your navigation into on site links and off site links. If there was an obvious seperation between the two someone like me wouldn't be confused by it.
I like the way you have the random items. Took me a moment to catch on, but I liked it once I got it. I couldn't tell... do you have a page where they're all listed, or do you make your visitors work for each and every one?

My only other comments are... some of the pages seem a little long to me (but I pretty much expect that in a blog) and...
Thank you for listing PDF by those type of links! I just hate clicking a link and having Acrobat load up when I didn't want it to.

btw: Loved the "Making Hell Freeze Over"!

"It's what you like not what you are like". Well, I like the design. Clear, simple and easy to navigate
