Well, I've never done a blog so I'm not sure how hard they are to template.
I will say... Great info! Can you tell I love content?

I'm sure I'd be visiting both your sites no matter what they looked like. The Web Server Times is such a good design though, I have to admit I feel a little disapointed the Web Tech Trends doesn't have a similar layout.

Definately make sure you have good linking between the two.
...and have fun with it!

I'll be back to see what else you come up with.

I hope it helps your scoring with the search engines.. I am truely not sure about the use of Google in your keywords..

"Google auction, google goes public"

Even though Google is in your news or you use adsense they may have a problem with you using their name in the keywords.. many Companies are senitive about use of their name anywhere in the Meta tags. I would read through their agreements..

Anyway I want to say I appreciate your comments about my sites.

Anyway, the mystery is solved. The person who designed that site included those keywords, and I never bothered to review them. If I'd known that "free" was one of the keywords, I'd have deleted it - which is what I'm going to do now.

I added your site to our search engine as an example.

Go to either 411Locate.com or city-yellowpages.com and do a keyword search for news..

You will notice we changed your "title" from.............

The Web Server Times: Articles for Webmasters about security, servers and emerging technology.

To....... The Web Server Times

The other reads more like a description than title, and we only used ..webservertimes.com, and news for your keywords.

I hope this examples also helps others realize that search engines can control the choice of selections from our end.. so when someone builds a site using different "tricks" of the trade it, at times, adds extra work load on the search engines.. , and in some cases the site is just rejected or scored at the bottom.
