Odd occurence: I opened a sidebar (FF .93) and the banner turned all black. Came back after closing the sidebar and refreshing. (maybe I just need to reboot and recover some memory)

I would suggest replacing font-size:small with font-size:100% in the body selector and work up the percentages from there. The current settings make the body text hard to read.
