Well everything seems to be looking and functioning great here.
I'm sorry I couldn't help you with your span question, but in my browser there's certainly no problems.

The only suggestion I might make is if you are going to have the url on the top of the fixed picture, you might want to rethink letting the picture title go at the top. Things get a bit messy that way.

I can't wait to see how you integrate this into the rest of the site!
Have fun with it!

"...or maybe that's a secret... "

Ok, the latest changes are...
- Fonts have been changed to improve readability
- black border around images ot make it look better
- "T" or title color button changed to look more like a button and to give better feedback.
- EXIF data is parsed better, eg: "Canon PowerShot S50. 600x450, 1/1000sec @ F4, 2004:05:09 15:40:41"
- New EXIF button displaying complete details has been added.
- User Titles on the image are now halo'd in black
- JPEG Quality now goes from 50 to 100, instead of 0 to 100
- Sizing/auto-cropping (eg: make a 400x300 image a 5x7" print) now works

Peter

Nah... you're not stupid or dumb.. although I have no idea about you're bum...

The GD Library is something used to create images on the fly. There are other ways to dynamically create images, but this one is pretty widly supported. There's a quick tutorial on it at http://www.phpfreaks.com/tutorials/105/0.php.

It works wonderfully in Safari!
I haven't seen this done before (at least not to this extent).

Are you going through the GD Library? ...or maybe that's a secret...

Great job on the scripting! I'm looking forward to seeing how you incorporate it into the site.
Have fun with it!

Don't have any suggestions, aside from the ones already given.

I'm always impressed by sites with a lot of photos that still load quickly.

Thanks guys!

abudabit: Absolute positioning is used in the code to place DHTML elements, so unfortunately centering is out.

The site has been moved to a much faster server. Now you can include your own text title - naturally with a custom, cool DHTML color-picker. The color-picker isn't fully debugged yet, works on Explorer though.

Keep the suggestions coming!

Yeah, excellent. Loading time is in my opinion too long but it's a great layout & excellent use of DHTML. Spot On
