Your content would be easier to read if you added some padding to the cells.

To clean up your left-side navigation, may I suggest a CSS-based list. You can find some good examples here:

I agree with the above - lose the dashed borders (except to draw attention to an important area)

You have a good "metalic" groove going with the blues and grays, but throwing in the green defeats it, most noteably the blue on green in the header.

And I still like the blue on light blue links

Script: different kinds of tables? I have ONE at the left. How is it confusing?
I'll take out the bold letters then. I've been messing around with the files since I learned
it looked really bad outside of IE. So left.php doesn't exist. It is the least of my
priorities and I'll get around to it.

wildbird: I do plan to put some graphics in but I needed to make sure it looked right in
other browsers first 'cause the last time, I didn't realize it was way out of whack.

AyntRyte: ooops...it's not supposed to have a scrollbar. I'll look into that.

Sans serif is normally best for screen, and would definitely be best for your site. Use verdana or tahoma or something like that. Sometimes sans-serif can work, but never in Times New Roman. Georgia looks nice.

I like the blue on light blue links. To me, they appear to have the effect of being slightly smeared. (or maybe this first cup of joe hasn't kicked in)

Work on your "slicknet news" heading. Its causing a horizontal scroll.

The color of the font and background is match and have a comfortable looking. However, frankly speaking, the overall look is not attractive. I think it would be better to incorporate some graphics in your site.

No offence, but I think it needs a lot of work. All the different kinds of tables are annoying. The bold letters at the beginning of each paragraph doesn't look right. And the rest of it is rather boring. In your "about me" i get "Unable to load left.php"

Mixing is fine if done right. And be consistent with them -- if you generally use serif for tier-one headings, stick with it everywhere, etc.

Again, if you're not sure and don't feel like experimenting, be safe and go with all sans-serif.

See the site linked in my signature. I use serif for most headings and sans for the rest.

The typeface should suit the content -- tone, formality, importance, etc. If you're not sure which to choose, default to sans-serif; you can't go wrong with the basics like readability.
